We arrived at Denali Brewing Co. which is a well known local brewery famous for there wide selection of creative beer and spirits. This is also an EV hotspot. We plugged in to the J-1772 for the night and when the staff arrived in the morning for work we were granted special permission to plug into their building where we were able to plug in our Heliox charger with 480V 50A. This saved us a few hours of charging by using our Heliox for the first time. Continuing north we stopped by Wal-Mikes which has been in operation since 1965. Here we met Mike where he had just about everything. From little Alaskan gold nick-nacks, propellers, and even machetes for the back country. Next we stopped at a 50 kw fast charger located at Jack River Inn which was closed for the season however, they keep the charging station open. We enjoyed the open seating at Jam Jam’s next door even though they were closed for the season. As we move further north we are beginning to run into colder weather as the temperature drops into the teens we wear our parkas inside. Our Hankook EV i cept evo3 winter tires are preforming really well. We then passed Denali National Park and crossed over a large bridge on Park Highway. We stayed the night and charged the car in Healy at the very cozy and warm Denali Totem Inn.
