We arrived in Kansas City, Missouri for a two day stop for our first sponsor meeting with Fuchs Lubricants who produce the grease and lubricants for EV cars. Derek is also from Kansas City so we enjoyed a nice weekend in Kansas City. On Monday morning we went to Fuchs Lubricants in Kansas and had a great welcoming from the Fuchs employees. Fuchs informed their employees about our arrival and we used the hour stop for pictures and an explanation about EV cars and our arrival in Deadhorse. Afterwards we drove to St. Joesph for a stop with Clarios another partner with out project which produces the 12V battery. Some employees also came out for a picture. We also saw a funny thing, the battery inside the car, that never let us down even in -37 degrees fahrenheit weather was being displayed as their gatehouse for their facility. We drove through the night and took a photo at the World’s Biggest Truck Stop on I-80 outside of Davenport towards Chicago.
